Yuet-Yang Siew

Yuet-Yang Siew was born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He received both his BMus and M.M. degree in Piano Performance from Missouri State University under the tutelage of Dr. Wei-Han Su. Yuet-Yang is actively involved in both solo and chamber performances. In 2019, he was invited to give a series of recitals in Buffalo, New York as part of the celebration of Poland’s Independence Day. Praised for his exceptional musicianship, Yuet-Yang was awarded First Prize at the MMTA competition and J.D. Kelly Piano competition. He continued his studies at the University of Oregon, where he is currently a second year DMA student studying piano performance under the guidance of Dr. Alexandre Dossin. Besides his activities as a graduate student, he is also working on specializations in piano pedagogy and collaborative piano with Dr. Grace Ho and Dr. David Riley. As a full graduate employee at the University of Oregon, Yuet-Yang works as a studio accompanist and provides lesson to secondary piano students at the university.
