CMI Chamber Players Program

Chamber Players was founded in 1999 as a unique small ensemble experience for advanced high school and middle school students. Weekly coachings are provided by faculty and graduate students at the UO School of Music. Students also have the opportunity to participate in masterclasses and formal recitals. Chamber Players coachings are held Fridays, usually between 4-5 or 5-6 p.m. at the School of Music on the UO Campus.

Student participants receive weekly chamber music coachings with UO graduate students and UO string faculty and multiple masterclasses and workshops with University of Oregon string faculty and guest master teachers. In addition, ensembles are given multiple performance opportunities at the School of Music and Dance concert hall venues. Students expereince the social benefits of working together in small groups toward a common goal: nurturing musical friendships and learning responsibility and dedication, and most of all, having fun!
